The Pure Movement Dance Institute is the perfect studio to find beginning dance classes for kids. We offer a wide variety of classes for young dancers of all skill levels and ages up to 18. Here at PMDI we prioritize teaching the fundamentals of dance to help build our dancers’ coordination, strength, and technique in order for them to be successful in any style. Experienced teachers provide individualized instruction in small class settings. Our studio allows students to have an affordable introduction to dance with high quality lessons, even a free trial class. Class Levels
Our Pre-K through 2nd Grade classes are combination classes that include ballet, tap, and jazz. Our 3rd and 4th Grade classes are separated into ballet (required) and jazz/tap (not required). Once students reach the Studio and above level (10+) they are no longer required to take ballet and can focus on the styles of dance they choose. Please contact us for a free one on one consultation about what we can offer your dancer.
Online Registration Guide
New Students Ages 2-9
Students who are between the ages of 2-9 are able to register online at any time by enrolling in their class according to age/grade level. Click on the Enroll Now button below which will connect you to our automated registration system.
New Students Ages 10+
For all new students who are 10 years and older, please contact the studio to get your student's appropriate course placement. Once you have been assigned your course name(s) click on the Enroll Now button at the bottom of the page. This link will connect you to our automated registration system which will allow you to enroll your dancer(s) in their proper, assigned classes.
Please note class sizes are limited and registration is based on a first-come-first-served basis.
