Pure Movement's Six Week Summer Dance Program
Summer dance is a six week program that usually begins near the middle of June. Students should be registered for class by age. Any necessary placement adjustments will be made after the first week of class. New students will need to be registered through a new family account. Current students should register through their student login. Class and age groupings are typically as follows: Preschool/Kindergarten (3-5), Grade 1-2 Combo (6-7), Summer Academy (8-9), Summer Advanced (10-13), Summer Trainee (14+), and NCDT (must audition for membership). Please see our Dress Code and Etiquette page to determine what color leotard, tights, and shoes are required for each respective class and age group. Tuition costs are evaluated yearly and a $25 non-refundable deposit will be collected at the time of registration for each student. The remainder of the tuition is collected on the first day of classes.

Other Summer Programming
Four Day Company Summer Intensive
Our Company Summer Intensive program is designed to prepare students for our PMDI company auditions later in the week. That being said, any dancer who would like a summer dance challenge is more than welcome to participate as well. During this four day session, students will have the opportunity to receive specific training that will directly address technical steps and tricks that will be assessed during the company audition. Our summer intensive program is not required in order to audition for PMDI Company, but it is strongly encouraged! Techniques include ballet, jazz, and modern with conditioning and jumps, leaps, and turns as well. Program costs are evaluated yearly and a $50 non-refundable deposit will be collected at the time of registration for each student. The remaining fee will be collected on the first day.
Company Auditions -
PMDI Company, Junior Elite, Illusion Dance, and NCDT
By registering for company auditions you are agreeing to abide by the company requirements depending on your respective company placement. PMDI Company & Illusion Dance members are required to participate in our 5-week summer ballet and jazz technique classes. Illusion dancers are also required to attend the Musical Theatre Technique for members only. NCDT dancers are required to attend the week long Company Summer Intensive program and the appropriate summer dance classes as designated by the director. Please complete your audition registration online through your student login. If you are new to the studio please register through our New Student Registration page. Audition fee is $25 and will be withdrawn on the day of the audition.
Attire and Grooming: Students should arrive 30 minutes prior to the audition start tie with their hair in a bun. They must be dressed in the proper colored leotard (color assignment is by age and can be found under the Dress Code tab if you are unsure), pink convertible tights, black dance shorts, and bring both tan jazz shoe sand ballet slippers.
