Nebraska Contemporary Dance Theater

The NCDT company offers students age 12 and up a number of experiences that will prepare them for the professional dance world. Performance experiences include, but are not limited to, the annual company Ballet in January, community and statewide performances and outreach, in addition to multiple added performances in the annual May recital. NCDT Company members also participate in master classes, conventions, and may be required to attend annual professional dance concerts that have been identified as exemplary works by the NCDT Artistic Director. NCDT Company admittance is determined by audition, acceptance is not guaranteed. The audition is conducted by independent judges to ensure a specific skills standard.

NCDT Requirements:
- Attend their respective NCDT audition in the summer.
- Attend the week long Company Summer Intensive program and appropriate summer dance classes or equivalent approved by the director.
- Fall class requirements include: multiple weekly ballet classes and pointe (if applicable), a weekly jazz/lyrical and modern class, weekday rehearsal and attendance at weekly company rehearsals from 11:15am-1:15pm on Saturdays
- Participation in conventions and workshops
- Perform in the annual winter ballet, recital, and any other scheduled performances
- Attend their respective NCDT audition in the summer.

NCDT ApprenticesThis program is designed to provide students from age 10 and up the opportunity to begin pre-professional focused training. Admittance is determined by audition and is not guaranteed. NCDT Apprentices have many of the same requirements as regular NCDT company members as by determined by the Artistic Director.
