COVID-19 Safety Procedures and Guidelines
(as of 12/7/20)
Dancer and staff safety is the top priority at the Pure Movement Dance Institute. In order to minimize risk as much as possible the studio has implemented the procedures below in addition to installing medical grade air purifiers in each studio and increasing cleaning and sanitizing measures. Taking classes remotely via Zoom is also an option available to all students. This will happen live at the regularly scheduled class time.

Arrival at the studio:
- Dancers should not enter the studio until it is time for their class to start. Dancers ages 7 and under should have only one parent or guardian with them, no siblings (unless you have a small child or infant that must be with you).
- Classes in studios A & B must enter through the door closest to those studios near the south side of the building.
- Classes in studio C must enter through the door closest to studio C near the north side of the building. Please check your schedule to confirm your classes' location. There will be signs on the doors to direct you.
- Dancers must arrive already dressed for class, with a water bottle (the public fountain will be shut off) and all necessary shoes. Only small dance bags/drawstrings are allowed and leave any unnecessary clothing in your vehicle (this does not include coats!).
- If students are sent inside too early, dots have been arranged on the floor 6ft apart for dancers to wait on until they are allowed into class.
- Teachers will call students into class where they will take temperatures at the door and assign spots in the studio.
- Masks are required and any student that has forgotten theirs at home may purchase one for $0.75 at the front desk. We will have an oximeter available to check student oxygen saturation levels if needed.
During and between classes:
- The lobby will be closed while classes are in session and will only be opened for student pick up and drop off.
- Students should remain in their classroom between classes while teachers are transitioning. No snacks are allowed at this time.
- Bathrooms will be open for use if necessary and any students who need to use them will be sent one at a time.
Exiting the studio:
- Once dismissed students should verify their ride is here and exit the building immediately. Parents/guardians must call if they are not going to be at the studio when class ends so students can be informed and wait inside at a safe distance from other dancers.
- All students must exit the building through the door by studio C to avoid cross traffic as much as possible.
